Our Holiday Gifts Guides - Rachel's Favorites

Barefoot Contessa at Home by Ina Garten
If you were to visit my home and look in my kitchen you would see a wall of shelves full of cookbooks. About two-thirds of them are Ina's cookbooks. We lovingly call it the "Shrine to Ina". While I love all her cookbooks, this one holds a special place in my heart because it contains the best chocolate cake recipe known to humanity - Beaty's Chocolate Cake.

Blue Q Handy Tote Bag
It's the perfect size to haul stuff to and from work while also being really funny to look at. Also, I was once chased by a seagull.

500 Piece Puzzle
When it gets cold outside and I want an activity to do with my family I often pull a puzzle out. We all get into it, working on the outside border first.

Blue Lotus Chai
I'm not a coffee drinker, but mama gets cranky if she can't have her chai in the morning (and again in the afternoon). This powder mix is great because you can control how sweet you would like it by adding your own amount of honey. If you are like me and find many chai concentrates too sweet, this is perfect and spicy. Also, you can easily get at least 50 servings from this little can. Win!

Jack and Joie Notepad
I found this cute shop in Door County and fell in love with every single thing in the store. I have a weakness for all things notepads and notebooks, so I choose this cute mushroom notepad.

Black Velvet Alocasia Plant
I LOVE plants. Am I good at taking care of them? I'm working on that. I found this variety of alocasia just gorgeous. The leaves are a darky velvety green and it's fairly easy to grow. A little water, some indirect light and you are good to go.

F*ck if I Know Pens
Fun fact - I have a potty mouth. Like I love a good swear word. I found these pens and laugh a little each time I'm writing out a rent check or filling in my planner.

Cross Stitch Kit by Junebug and Darlin
If you love stitching (or even if not, it's fun to learn!), these kits and patterns are awesome. Patterns range from beautiful florals, moths to feminist and LGBTQ+ quotes.

Amber and Moss Candle by P.F. Candle Co.
I always burn a candle when I'm working at my desk. It's a nice little comfort to have, especially when it gets very cold here in Minnesota. This is one of my favorite scents and gives a nice "throw".

Paloma Cocktail by Joia
I love a good cocktail, but I don't stock much of a (or really any) bar at my home. Made in Minnesota, I love drinking one of these when I feel like having a fun drink after the kids are in bed.

Beaded Earrings by Miesje Chafer
I was lucky enough to meet this lovely British artist in Chicago some years back and have been following her work ever since. She plays with color and pattern in textiles, embroidery, jewelry and more. Her work is just joyful and I love it.

Anxious People by Fredrik Bachman
If you asked me to list my top 5 favorite books, this will be one of them. Bachman is a wonderful Swedish writer who rose to fame with his novel A Man Called Ove. That book is wonderful, but Anxious People really stuck with me for it's cast of characters who are woven together in this sometimes sad, often funny story.
